Bone Voyage BVC704XXH Vs Ironman The Throne TT70XH-6

edited July 2019 in Rods

Looking for a spare travel rod for PNG and Australia, mainly for saltwater light inshore gamefish and river mouth lure casting with PE4 line.  There will be situation where I may need to lock the drag and thumb the spool to keep the fish out of underwater snags or reef so the rod durability and strong backbone is very important.  At the same time, the tip should not be overly stiff to enable comfortable lure casting lures.

For those who had actually fished with any of the above 2 travel rods, your comments and recommendations will be much appreciated.  My primary rod is a butt joined Smith LTD PE3-5 that will go into the check in rod tube, this multi-piece is a spare that will be hand carried just in case the rod tube does not show up at the destination airport.  smile

Thanks in advance.
