Stella Line Capacity

Secondwind

I was just browsing through some websites and chanced upon the specs of the new 19Stella 14kXG

Upon seeing PE10 165m, I asked

UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES WILL I NEED PE10 and only 165meters?

In GT popping you do not need a lot of line. 1 inches of line out is a dangerous move.
So at PE10 you are going to just zhang the fish.

    Agreed.

Especially when fishing on a sportfisher. Boat man can start engine and chase the fish.

If you cast out 60 meters.
    That leaves you 100 meters.
Wouldnt that be a dagerously low cap?
Especially if you got a monster size at the other end?

GT does not run far. With high drag only few meter at most even for 40kg monster.

    Just curious,

Do you guys load PE10, 165meters when you go popping?

    Thanks,

I only use PE8. PE 10 is too thick to cast far.
PE 8 with wind assist can cast 60-80m depending on lure.
