@smartidiot the leader is after the mainline, it's there to absorb the shock of the cast and also help with abrasion issues such as rocks or rough surfaces, it's not 100% but it helps to keep the line safe.

You can connect a leader to your mainline with a knots like Uni to Uni, GT Knot, FG Knot or Alright Knot. I use a GT Knot which involves a Bimini Twist and a ln under and over hand.

BTW the line you showed is for full FC on the entire reel for finesse Fishing with light lures.

​I moved to Dupont for Rig this year, Flurocarbon is too stiff man. In fact I use Nylon leader now too. Cheaper and works the same to me. I started doing this because popping leader I use Nylon too.

@smartidiot bro I only use one brand now. Power Pro. Only when I go 4lb I go Fireline. I only use the 10lb version when I do use Sufix. But Power Pro 90% of the time.
