On a separate note, I personally do not use this method and opt for a direct 130, 150, 170 and 200+ lb leader instead. The twisted leader is bulky and preparing it is fiddly to me - I am not saying it is wrong, I am saying it just too much work.

With the use of a bobbin the leader to mainline it's quick and painless.

Try a few different styles and pick the one that works for you as there is not right or wrong.
