I brought from  Plays 1000 (new Model) Tao Bao $522.00 2 months ago.  Exclude Shipping. (TTC no stock, need to order.) It came with the Japan Warranty Card, have to send your own postage if need to repair but I yet to fill and post.

Biggest Catch is "Ah Seng 6kg", haven't set to full drag (45lbs Braided Line) still manageable. Good thing is you lower down the rod, it auto retrieve till you raised your rod.

I also have the Plays 3000 (old Model) which i prefer more than the 1000 series.

I heard the battery is damn expensive

its the same price as a low end electric reel

I have never seen Solor Power type. then no need use for night fishing.
Cheap Battery at Simlim Tower only cost $30 - 12V 8 Amp. Charger at $25.
Can use for at least 18 hours non stop. But it weigh over 2kg.
Buy the OEM portable battery 200g 12V 3.6 Amp from China attached to the reel, cost only $65 each, can use for 8 hrs. Charging 4 hrs. Buy 2 enough for charging and exchange. Provided Boat have 13 amp socket. 1 battery good enough for 8 hrs day trip, if not last hour use manual hand crank. lol.

Hi usetan, do you have the name of the shop in SimLim Tower that sell this OEM portable battery ?
    Thanks

Don't know, 1st Sty shop sell all kind of batteries, Ask Him or bring your reel to test. Not more that 14.8V. This battery terminals easily get rusted. (I advise you buy portable battery attached to the reel. Taobao many seller)

Just to chip in my two cents.

For Plays 1000 size, depends on your preferences, you can get a small 12V Sealed Lead Acid Battery for motorbike or superbikes with power capacity ranging from 7ah to 14ah. Pro is relatively cheap and can get easily from any bike shops. Cons is,  it's heavier.

You can also get a attached on lithium battery, it's smalls and light weight but pricey and yet comes with small power capacity. If u use for handheld, that attached on battery pack is gonna add on the weigh.

Or, go for in between, get a lithium battery pack from Taobao, for a 16-20ah pack cost u around $100 +/-, it's light, use the power cable with crocodile grip and clip.... You can get a small cooler bag to house it, and sling it with you, in tat way, it gives u enough juice to do your handheld jigging or baiting, without adding on weight to ur arm.... The cons. ... If a 3ah lithium battery in your handphone can cause considerable injury when it explodes, imagine what a 20ah lithium battery pack can do to ur body lol..... When I use it, there is always this worry crossing my mind....so I ended up using the Sealed Lead Acid battery more despite its weight.... Haha

Speaking from my user experience of seaborg 300mj for a year, largely for handheld jigging and light bottom baiting....
